The Tidone Valley, named after the Tidone stream, originating from the Penice Mountain and running through the valley, is in the western most part of the province of Piacenza.
The Tidone Valley has been since antiquity a borderline and strategic area linking the Po Valley and Lombardy. This vast and sunny valley with its hills covered in orchards and vineyards, coppices and pine forests, wineries, farmhouses, small villages, medieval towns, castles, villas, fortresses, and dozens of wine and local food tasting tours offers rest and relaxation to its visitors.
