Val Tidone - Images
The Tidone Valley is the western side of the Piacenza province and it is flown through the same stream that rises from the Mountain Penice.
As its strategic position of between the Pianura Padana and the Lombardia, it has been a thorougfare and a border place from the antiquity.
The big and sunny valley is full of meadows, coltived hills with orchards and vineyards, copses, pinewoods in the highest point, wine farms, farm houses, scattered villages on the sunny slopes, medieval centres, powerful castels, country houses and fortresses. Everything promises quiet, relax and natural excursions.
The traveller will be attracted by a greedy shopping, that changes from wines DOC, cheese DOP to simple and tasty dishes will attract him. These are a perfect combination of tastes and perfumes of the local tradition.
