Alfred Rutz (Svizzera)

Nato a Zurigo, Alfred Rutz ha studiato con James Galway a Berlino e con Ursula Stalder-Burkhard e André Jaunet a Zurigo. Si è poi perfezionato con Aurèle Nicolet presso l’Accademia Musicale Superiore di Friburgo di Brisgovia.
Nel 1978 si è aggiudicato la “Médaille de bronze à l’unanimité” e il “Premio Paul Streit” per la migliore esecuzione di un pezzo svizzero al Concorso Internazionale di Ginevra. Nel 1981 gli è stato assegnato il “Premio di Solista” dell’Associazione dei Musicisti Svizzeri.
Dal 1981 è primo flauto dell’Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, con cui ha effettuato anche molte registrazioni da solista.
Dal 1987 insegna presso il Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana di Lugano.

Alfred Rutz was born in Zurich. He studied with James Galway in Berlin and with Ursula Stalder-Burkhard and André Jaunet in Zurich. He pursued his advanced training with Aurèle Nicolet at the Academy of Music in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
In 1978 he was awarded the Médaille de bronze à l’unanimité and received the Paul Streit Award for the best performance of a Swiss piece of music at the International Competition of Geneva. In 1981 he was granted the Soloist Award of the Association of Swiss Musicians.
Since 1981 Alfred Rutz has been the first flute player of the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana whith which he has recorded as soloist.
Since 1987 he teaches at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.
